Kaiden and the Snow.

Kaiden absolutly loves the snow. When we got it, I took him out to check it out when I got the mail, and then later that day when the kids where home from school I took him out to play in it. So Im just posting a few pictures and then I have some more stuff to tell.

So the other news. I got my medical card back! The first thing I did was call WIC to make an appointment for Kaiden. I hadn't actually been to WIC since I was about 2 or 3 months pregnant. Its a HUGE relief. They got Kaiden caught up on his shots for me, so I dont have to worry about scheduling that appointment with the doctor. I still need to schedule his well baby check up and then schedule an appointment with my doctor. Im going to call to do that next week while I'm at April's. I will be there for 2 weeks. April has a job now, and Lydia normally goes to latch key at school and Lily goes to day care, but with the Holiday coming up school will be closed for 2 weeks, so April needed someone to watch Lydia, so I'm going to watch her. Day care is only closed for a few days, but April isnt going to send Lily since I will be there. So me getting my medical card was a HUGE blessing, Kaiden and I were both needing it badly.

Now all I need to get is an apartment. That would just be the best thing ever. So lets keep praying I can get one very very soon. I need it badly.

Update on Kaiden

So this morning Kaiden woke up feeling MUCH better. He was sick all day wednesday and all day thursday. Wednesday he was still pretty active but couldnt hold much of anything down. Yesterday he was really cranky and very clingy. He didnt throw up much yesterday, I would give him 2 oz. of formula at a time if he had more then that he couldnt hold it down. So for supper last night I attempted to give him some applesauce. He ended up throwing that back up...On me... After I put him to bed for the night he ended up waking up at about 10:30 so I brought him out with me. I thought he just still wasnt feeling good and wanted to snuggle. I was so wrong, he was up and laughing and playing. At about 11:45 I layed him back down in bed, and he went to sleep. He woke up this morning fine and dandy. He has had 4 oz. of formula, thats what I started him on to make sure he wasnt going to get sick again, he ate a jar of bananas, and had some juice. Chris is out now, and is going to pick up some pedialyte for him.

Kaiden was not the only one in the house to get sick. It started with Chris and Holly's baby Nathan, he was up Monday night getting sick. Then Wednsday morning Kaiden woke up and was getting sick. Wednesday night Chris was sick all through Thursday afternoon. Wednesday night their daughter Olivia got sick, but only once. And Will also was sick Wednesday night through mid morning Thursday. Kaiden got it the worst and had it the longest of two days. Only ones not to get sick were Chris and Holly's oldest, Christopher, Holly, and Me. If Kaiden was sick today I was gonna take him in to Urgent Care to make sure he wasnt getting too dehydrated. But eveyone is feeling better now. Hopefully it stays that way. This house is like a never ending cycle of sickness. It started with Christopher getting broncitis back in September I think, and it has never ended since, someone is pretty much always sick. Kaiden has done gone to Urgent care twice in like a month and a half. The first time he had an extremly bad cough. Which they said was just a bad cold and they didnt give him anything for. The second time was a rash and fever and he ended up with broncitis and tonsilitis. Hopefully the sickness is all done here now. Expecially since me and Kaiden arent on medical card at the moment. No idea why but I have re-applied and hopefully it gets approved soon.

Pray for Kaiden.

So yeah. Kaiden could use some prayers right now. So two weeks ago, on Sunday night I had to take Kaiden to the ER cause he had a rash and a fever of 102. We got there and it turned out he just had tonsillitis, bronchitis, and they said possibly a little pneumonia. He got all better, but then this morning he woke up about 7:30 and has been puking just about all day. He cant keep much of anything down. He has been drinking water, but he would throw that up to. He has been sleeping most of the day. I tried to get him to eat some lunch, but he couldnt keep that down either. Later I finally made a 2 oz bottle of formula for him to see how he did with that, so far he is keeping that down. He went to sleep shortly after he drank it. But the poor little guy feels icky and needs some prayer. He needs to get better, I dont like it when he gets sick and this is the first time he has been sick like this. He has no fever or anything like that. Im hoping its just a bug and nothing to serious. But pray for him.

Ok so I said I was gonna post Kaiden's 6 month pictures when I got them. Well I have had them for a few weeks now, but I'm here now posting them.

This is Kaiden with his Grandma Vicki, Kody's mom. She wanted to visit with Kaiden and I told her about the hayride and weiner roast and she came.

This was about when Kaiden was I would say 5 months? We met Vicki at WalMart and we stopped in McDonalds. We meet Vicki there about once or twice a month and she buys Kaiden some food and formula, or whatever else we need.





So other news. Kaiden is kinda crawling...He scoots, more like an army crawl. I actually have it on video just not on the computer yet. He has been kinda sick for a few weeks now with a really bad cough. It got so bad I ended up taking him to Pekin Urgent Care. They just said it sounded like a really really bad cold and that was it. No meds or anything. But I talked to Sheryl Sours and she told me what all I could give him for it. He is starting to sound much much better. But still has the icky cough.

I have an application in at Sunset Hills appartments to get me my own place. Havent herd anything back from them yet, but its only been a few weeks and it can take a couple months. I'm really hoping and praying I get in.

I had to re-apply to get on medical card because for some reason I stopped getting it. So hopefully I get approved soon, or I get stuck paying the hospital bill for when I took Kaiden in.

But thats about all for now really. I will try to update soon.

Woah! Its been awhile

Well, Not a whole bunch has gone on since my last post. So I will try to think of the exciting stuff.
So lets start with Ohio. I already posted I went there, so Brian and his mom came and got me. I was really home sick. They rented, I guess is what you would call it, a truck to put mine and Kaiden's stuff in. We got back into town at almost 2:00AM sunday morningI think it was, I stayed with Morgan and we put all the stuff in her garage. Since mom and Joe stayed in Ohio, I'm living with Morgan aunt Holly and Uncle Chris. We got all settled in at Morgan's and we went to church sunday morning. It was the sunday of the all church picnic. Chris picked me up after the picnic, so I missed the evening service, and we went to Morgan's to get our stuff, and then took it all to Manito. I have been here every since then. Things are going good. Kaiden has learned to sit up, he is rolling all over the place. And just recently he is trying to crawl. He will get up on all fours and rock back and forth. Sometimes if he rocks hard enough he scoots forward alittle.
I am working on getting an apartment in Pekin for me and Kaiden. I have put in an application at Sunset hill apartments and I am waiting to hear back from them.Thats all I have really done so far. Can't do a whole lot during the week and all because Holly goes to school Monday-Thursday from 8am to about 8pm sometimes a little earlier. Friday's she has to take her grandma to get her hair done and run errands for her. So weekends is about all I get.
Everyone has been getting sick around here lately, not real bad, just mainly a cough, I have it right now, and it seems like Kaiden is starting to get it. Lots of fun.
Umm..What else...
I cant really think of anything else....
I can say I do like it here with Chris and Holly, I can know Me and Kaiden aren't going to go without anything we need, unlike it was with my mom. I know thats kind of a bad thing to say, but honestly its the truth.
Oh, we got Kaidens pictures done again. His grandma Vicki paid to have them done. Got several different poses. We should be getting them next week and I will have to post them. :)
But I think that is just about everything until next time.

Ohio

Ok, yeah, so Im in Toldeo,Oh have been since the 10th. Pretty much boring. Mom and Joe are moving here, well they have now since we are here. I just came til the end of the month. Or well that was the plan anyways. Everyone wants me to stay here with them, but I have my place back home. The plan was for me to come back home was about the 29th. But Im super home sick, and everyone wants me to come back home, and Brian was wanting to come up to see if Me and Kaiden were doing ok, and if we needed anything. He is coming Saturday, or thats the plan right now, but his mom is coming to, and when they come Im going back with them. They are getting a truck that will seat us all and will hopefully fit mine and Kaidens stuff. I cant wait. I miss everyone so much, and I cant wait to come home! Hopefully this week goes by fast...

Ok this will be short...I dont really have much of an update.

Yesterday, I went to the DMV, and I finally got my permit! I took the test for the first time and I passed with and 88% Im super excited!

Kaiden's first 4th of July!

Kaiden has celebrated his first holiday! I don't have pictures, well i do just I don't have a way to upload them onto the computer. But I can still tell you about it.
So during the day we didn't really do anything, just laid around the house basically. I'm still at Aprils, Lydia was with Aprils parents. Lydia's grandpa taught her to ride her bike without training wheels, and they called to have us look out the window to see her riding her bike. But when she got home we started to get ready to leave to see the fireworks. I was going thinking Kaiden was totally going to freak out and cry. But we get there, he was just mesmerized by the fireworks. He would just stare at them. It was cute. It was kinda chilly so he was sitting on my lap with a blanket to cover up with. He didn't cry once. But it didn't take him long to fall asleep, he fell asleep in his car seat on the way home.

But, today I'm meeting my mom at Chris and Melissa's she said I have some papers from Sunset Hills, so I'm hoping its a paper saying I'm approved and stuff. I'm so ready to move. So yeah my mom does know now that I'm moving. She didn't seem to happy about it at first, but she is talking to me again now, so I guess she got over it and realized I'm not a little girl anymore. When I know more about the apartments I will let you know.

Just some things

OK So I have been at Aprils for alittle over a week now. So I have no picture to post, but just a little update. Im working on getting a place for me and Kaiden. I just can really take it much at home, kinda being why Im here at Aprils. We have been living back over in bartonville for about 2 months and nothing has got done, and we have no refrigerator. So I have put an application in over here where April lives. Its subsidized so they go based on your income. Im going to put one in at Brooke Meadows also but I need to get Kaidens SS number first before I can hand the application in. Mom doesnt know about this yet. Im going to wait a little bit until I tell her. I want to make sure I get in to one of the places first before I tell her.
But Kaiden is doing good. On the 5th he got his shots. And he weighed 13lbs 1oz and was 24inches long. He is becoming very verbal, and he is very smiley. I have started giving him baby foods. He seems to really like them. So far he has had Squash, Green Beans, Applesauce, Sweet Potatoes, and Rice cereal. Still isnt sleeping through the night, but only wakes up about twice. He stays awake alot more now. Today he woke about 8:30 and didnt take a nap until about 12:30 which is the longest he has gone so far without a nap. Tomorrow we are hoping to go get his pictures done. I havent been able to get any done yet. Thats one thing I like about being here at Aprils, If I need to go somewhere she takes me. But its time for Kaiden to eat. He is calling for me now, so I must go.

Ugh!

Ok, I had a pretty good weekend. Me and Kaiden went to Pekin and stayed the whole weekend. But on Saturday I started feeling sick. My stomach was bothering me and stuff. Im still sick now, and guess what...Its the Stomach flu! Ugh! I hate being sick, expecially the flu!

I will post pictures from the weekend later. Kaiden went on his first walk in his stroller and we went to the park and stuff. it was so nice out!

2 months

Ok well. Where to start. Alot has been going through my mind lately. Next month Im wanting to go get my lisence. I found out what I got to do. I just need to have $20 go take the written test, if I pass that I get my permit, thats what the $20 is for. Then I can go home and practice driving, I know how to, I have drover plenty of times, just not out of the streets with other cars. Whenever Im ready I can go take the driving test. I have a car, I just need plates, insurence, and then there is something wrong with it. One person said it is a stuck valve, and another, who is a machanic, says the timing is off. So whatever it is, needs fixed. Then after that, I want to get a job. But in order to get a job, I need to find someone to watch Kaiden.

Now on to an update about Kaiden. He smiles...ALOT! and the other day he laughed for the first time. It was so cute. He loves to stand up. And he fianlly likes to swing in his swing. He hated it for the longest time. He likes listening to music, and loves the piano at church. He "talks" alot to. This morning he was smiling and talking to his mobile in his crib. He is starting to notice the tv now too. He stares at everything, and is alot moree laret and I like it. I love that he is awake more, gives me more to do. Tuesday he goes to the doctor to get his shots :( Im not looking forward to that. Ok! Now onto some pictures!

Just a few things

OK well nothing really new with Kaiden. He is growing pretty good. He is starting to become a little chunky. He has real little rolls on his thighs and I think its the cutest thing ever. Wednesday night he had a first though. I dont put him in the nursery yet, so he sits out with me, and either Em and Phil or Morgan and Brian is who I normally sit with. He stayed awake through the whole church service. There was a time before when he stayed awake through the preaching but slept during all the announcments and such. I was amazed he stayed awake that long. Oh! Here is a pic I took of him the other day. He is holding his head up really good. He has been able to hold his head up since about day 1, but he does it alot more now, and he is getting pretty good at it, and I was able to get a picture of him doing it.

Ok so, More. Shalyn and Niki came over for alittle today. Gammie had to have a talk with them. They been having problems with listening to what they are told and Shalyn has developed an attitude like no other. She has always had alittle attitude problem, but as she has got older, it has got worse,alot worse. She is like one of them rebelious teenagers you would see in movies. Niki, she just does as her big sister does. But anyways, Shalyn is very smart, she will be going into 2nd grade. My mom has this thing from my grandmas funeral in a picture frame. It has my grandmas picture, and it has Footprints written on it.

Shalyn grabbed it, and came and sat down by me and she started to read it. She did an amazing job. She had a few problems with some of the words but she did it. She got some of the big words all on her own but needed my help with a few. She loves to read. Niki cant read very well yet, she just knows the little words, and she doesnt know all the sounds of all the letters yet so she cant sound them out. They are getting too big! They both asked to hold Kaiden and I let them, and it was kinda funny. When I was handing him to Shalyn she was like "I dont need no help" Niki, she didnt say anything but I let her hold him by herself too. I trust them enough. I just told her to watch his head. I got pictures of each one of them holding him too.

Oh! Kaiden has learned to smile now too! Its the cutest thing ever. I have been trying for like a week now to get a picture of it, but he just wont smile for the camera. So when I get one, I will be sure to post it.

1 Month Already!

Today marks Kaidens 1 month birthday. I cant believe it has been a month already. He has changed so much, and is getting big way to fast.

Update and pictures

Ok, so Kaiden is getting big WAY to fast! I have weighed him and he is like 10lbs now. We have already done started adding rice into his formula/breast milk depending on if I have any pumped. If I dont he wants to eat like every 20 minutes. Adding in the rice he goes anywhere from 2-4 hours before wanting to eat again.

Yesterday Kaiden met his dad for the first time. Kody was super nervous when he held him, he kept saying he didnt want to drop him. Kody's mom took some pictures so when she sends them to me I will post them. But today when I was changing Kaiden this morning, I took a bunch of pictures, So I will post them now :)

Oh and a little update on me, Im doing good adjusting well, seem to be healing up well, not in anymore pain or anything. Oh and i dont live in Peoria anymore :) We live back in Bartonville at joes house :)

Update on Kaiden

So I have been home with Kaiden for a little over a week now, and he is already changing so much. He is a prety good baby. He wakes up only about 4 times during the night to eat. I am breast feeding him, it started out being a real big challenge. He wouldnt latch on for anything. I saw two different people while we was in the hospital, only one got him to latch on but it was only for a few minutes and he never latched on again. We tired and tired when we got home, but then at his first doctor appointment, the doctor gave us a number for the lactation nurse at Pekin hospital, and we called her and went, and we finally got him to latch on at 6 days old. She worked with us for about an hour and a half. We got home we got him right on. She did say that Kaiden has a tight frenulum, which is the skin under the tongue, which would be the main cause of the trouble latching on, so she gave me a number for a doctor that takes care of that, if I choose to, we can get it clipped so it will be easier for him. Before we do it though, we have to get a referal from the doctor which Im going to do at his next appointment which is tomorrow. Other then that every thing is going real well.

Ok so yesterday afternoon-ish Blair and I went to the church and talked to Preacher about some things. We talked about something Preacher, Mrs Rowell and I had talked about several months ago. To basically sum that talk up, it was about me asking the Lord for forgiveness, and then going in front of the church and asking the church for their forgiveness. So the talk yesterday, was Preacher asking me if I had asked the Lord for forgiveness, which I have, and if I felt he had forgiven me. And he wanted to know if it would of been alright if at the beginning of church service, that I got up with him, and Blair come up too, and he would explain to the church what we was doing.Then he gave the microphone to me, and I explained to them I knew it was wrong, I asked for forgiveness, and then I asked the church if they could forgive me too for what I done. Then preacher took back the mic, and talked some more. He was telling the church how I have been coming since I was about 8 years old so it being 10 years that I have been coming, and then he told them I was being induced this Saturday. We had a season of prayer, then continued with the service.

Great News!

Ok, so I went to the doctor yesterday. Im still dialated to a 2, but besides that the baby is totally ready. The cervix is thined , and Im having the contractions and all, Im just not dialating. I have been at a 2 the last 4 office visits. So after the exam and all, the doctor asked me if I wanted to get induced or if I wanted to wait. I told him how Blair would be home this week and she was kinda wanting to be here when I had him. So this Saturday, at 8:00 AM I am scheduled to be induced at Methodist Hospital. So Im pretty excited now. Blair will get to be here, she is like super excited because of that. I think I am ready for it! I will definelty have to post some pictures of him.

The baby shower had a great turn out! Got like everything that I needed and then some. I had a few friends show up, but most of them had to work so couldnt make it. Alot of the ladies from church came. Mrs. Kristy, if you want to, on my myspace I do have some pictures from the shower if you want to see them. Emily made an amazing cake. I loved it! There was a few select things I didnt get, but with the couple of gift cards I recieved I was able to go get. The only big things I didnt get and still need would be a stroller, and I would like to have a bassenet. I am so thankful for what I got though. There was one lady she comes to church, I dont really know her, she dont really know me, but we invited her, and she said she came, and when wwe went around telling how they all knew me she said she didnt really, but still wanted to come to show support and help out. Emily had everyone write down a word of advice on some notecards and everyone read them off, my mom wanted me to read hers, it made just about everyone cry. We had a great mother/daughter moment, crying on each others shoulders and hugging after. But I thank Emily for hosting the shower, and Sis. Burling and Sis. Sours for getting the space to have the shower.

Well, I had a doctors appointment today. Dialated to 2 cm now. He said it could be soon. But they had me do the non-stess again. They had to do a little stimulator shock thingy on my stomach to get him moving cause he wasnt wanting to move. He said he wanted me back this friday, because he still isnt moving like he should. He has a good strong heart beat though, so I guess that is a plus. But as we was going to the desk to check out, we looked at the paper and he had complicated pregnancy marked, and fetal movement decress, and then there was one other one but I dont remember what it was. So they are going to keep an eye on him and see how things go. So lets just hope everything is alright, and nothing is wrong and that he is just being lazy and not wanting to move :)

Doctor Appointment

Ok so had the regular checkup and such. Ended up doing a non stress test. We told them he hasnt been moving around as much lately. They said his heart rate is fine, he just isnt moving as much as he should. So now I have to do a kick count sheet. I have to do it twice a day. have to lay on my left side, which is the side I cannot get comfortable on whatsoever. I have to record down how long it takes for me to feel him move 5 times, and if I dont feel him move 5 times within a half hour, I am to call the doctor. But other then that, things are still going good. Still at 1cm.

The good ol' update

Ok, so, I had my doctors appointment. Everything is going good. I had a sono, and then the regular checkup done. Baby is growing good. She said he weights about 5lbs 14oz now. Heart rate was 154.He has a pretty good size head, and some chunky cheeks. The checkup was good. I am dialated to 1cm. I now go once a week to the doctor, so now I can update more.

Finally after looking in 3 different books, and looking on several online sites, I have packed both mine and baby's bags for the hospital. We got the bedding and everything put into the crib, and are starting to get things put away. We made up a list of things we still need, so we can get that stuff. But I think that covers everything for now. My next doctors appointment is the 3rd, so be expecting another update around about then.

Putting up a crib is lots of work!

I never knew how hard it was to put up a crib..That was alot of work. Expecially when you only have so much space to do it in...But we did it, me and my mom, we got it put together. We still have to put the mattress in, but we needed a break... We had to rearrange the whole room to have room for the crib to fit. We did the rearranging last night, then this morning/afternoon we did the crib. Everything is like piled in out closet right now. So our next project is getting all that put away.

Oh I had a doctor appointment last week. It was just the normal little check up. Everything is fine. I go back wednesday, I see the mid wifey lady person, and then I get another sono done. So maybe after that I will have alittle more of an update for you.

Ok, so, Sunday after church, me and Mo went to Emilys house and we got to make up the shower invitations. They are so cute. We were going to just do the shower at Emilys house, but Mrs. Burling was nice enough to rent the room out down at the Pekin Township for us to have the shower. We decided on March 8th to have the shower.
Oh also, I cant help but every time I go to Ems I have to weigh myself. This time when I did it was a big jump from the last time. I came in weighing in at 158.2 Thats a total gain of 24lbs so far! Last time I was weighted I was only 142.

Well that is basically all i got for now. I will post more soon.

The awaited update!

OK so an update on me and baby. Everything is going well, I made it through the glucose test....You know thats stuff isnt nearly as bad as everyone made it seem. The results of that were fine. Baby is growing fine. Doctor says im normal sized for how far along I am, well that was at last months check up he said that....I am 31 weeks now and like last week I just started getting stretch marks...I made it so far without getting any, and then they hit me. He is now starting to be alot more active, before it would just be kicks here and there, but he kicks and rolls now, and likes my ribs....I cant to sit to long or my side will start hurting, so like half way through church Im miserable and in pain. We are slowly getting things ready, but still have so much to do. Em was the first to say something about a baby shower, so she is doing that, and starting to get things ready for that. Sis. Burling is going to rent out a place down by the library for us to have it at..We still got to get a date figured out for it. Im in the process of gathering up names and address of people to come so she can send out the invitations once we get things figured out. A couple weekends ago, I went and stayed with some friends in Pekin, and they had a surprise shower for me. It was pretty cool. My friends Kayla asked me if I wanted to go to walmart with her for a few things, and I had some money on me, so I bought a few things for the baby, but she spent $60 on him. She got me a diaper bag, which I was in need of, a few outfits, some booties and a few other little things like that. But while I was gone, clueless of what was going on, the others, Jessica, Stephanie, Shay, Katrina, Betty, Jerry, Marcia, and Melinda, were back at Betty and Jerrys house decorating and getting things ready. I was totally surprised. Betty and Jerry is where we all use to hang out and stuff when I still lived in Pekin, and Marcia and Melinda are some friends of theirs. But from Betty and Jerry I got a $50 gift card to walmart, marcia and Melinda got me a $20 gift card to walmart, Stephanie and Jessica pitched in together got me some socks, and a couple pair of pjs and then a little basket with baby wash and lotion and then has a small thing of diapers and wipes. Shay got a few outfits, a towel, some little socks/booties, hat, and all had something to do with sports, go figure. lol. With the Betty took me to walmart the next day, to use the giftcards. I got the bed set with the bumber and all, the theme is fire engines, trucks and cars, its really cute. And Im going to use the drop in bottles, so they had a set of those that I got, and that was all I could get, but Betty bought the mobile that matched the bed set, the sheets and a blanket that matched. Im pretty excited about getting started on the room, and seeing how it all looks once put together.
Its been kinda nice though, I have had alot of people give me like the big more expensive things. I got a crib and a car seat from my cousin Brett, I have the little portable swing, and a bath tub from him also. April gave me Lilys old car seat, its navy blue, and then someone else if going to give me a car seat....People have just been such a help, Im so thankful for that, because I know we wouldnt of been able to get alot of the stuff like that on our own...I do need to get a crib mattress though. I have been slowly working on my gift registry at wal mart. I got a thing in the mail that gives you a general idea of the things you need for baby, and what you should register for, that has been so helpful and you check out what you already have.
Well, i think that all the update I have for now...But hey, I think that there is a pretty nice update, its not real short or anything....Im proud of myself. :)

Just a quick update on Melissa and Chris. Melissas back has been hurting her, and Chris hasnt gone back to work yet since the accident. They were able to get a new van though. Not sure exactly what kind, but its a 1997 mini van. Its got the both sliding doors in the back. Its really nice. I like it alot. Its got enough room for all the kids and then one extra person. But yeah, thats just a quick update on them.

Prayer request

Ok so this is a short one, just a small prayer request for Chris and Melissa.

On the first, Melissa was driving the van, and down by the old high school, a car ran through a red light and hit Melissa at 30 MPH and totaled the van. The kids were not in the car. Chris ended up going to the hospital because of his neck and back, I guess he has whip lash. Melissa is fine as they can tell. They were the only ones in the car. So they got the 4 kids, and no vehicle. Chris now has to figure out away to get back and forth to work now. So they just need some prayer for any pain they are in and for a new vehicle to get them to the places they need to be and stuff.
